Class of 1966 Environmental Center is the home of the Center for Environmental Studies. The department is composed of an incredible faculty and faculty affiliates who teach interdisciplinary courses that fit into Environmental Studies curriculum. CES offers the Major in Environmental Studies, the Concentration in Environmental Studies, and the Concentration in Maritime Studies. With a wide range of class offerings, environmentalism becomes a pivotal element in the academic career of many students.
Some of the department’s faculty have offices and classrooms in the building but also teach all over campus. The building has been both a home and a case study in many of the classes. When studying questions about sustainability and human/environmental relationships, the building has become a close-to-home study subject.
